The restaurant, overlooking the resort pool, offers an exciting selection of buffet and á la carte, inter national and local dishes. The restaurant opens for breakfast from 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., daily.

During the day, select tantalising meals and snacks from our extensive menu. Nightly promotional buffets such as BBQ Special Galore, Malaysian Delight Evening, Seafood Galore, The Eight Wonders ASEAN Specialties and other tantalising buffet selections are available to tempt your taste buds. The Pool Terrace too is used as an outdoor venue for casual dining under the stars.

Seashell Beach Café

For fun in the sun, refreshments are close at hand. The Seashell Beach Café serves a variety of thirst quenchers, cocktails, mocktails and delicious Tex Mex meals. Be entertained by our resident band that plays popular tunes, golden oldies and contemporary songs as the waves gently wash Burau Bay and the sun sets behind the mountains.

The latest addition to Seashell Beach Café is the Bayside Cellar; Langkawi’s only walk-in wine cellar. Bayside Cellars features over 80 different wine labels from the world’s leading wine regions including France, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and California. The cellars are air-conditioned to maintain constant temperature to ensure that the wines are maintained in their optimal condition and protected from the tropical climate. Select wines that are affordable as well as some fine vintage wines all very competitively priced due to Langkawi’s duty free status. Reference material is available on many of the wines and the veranda on the outside of the cellars is the perfect place to sit and relax and enjoy your favourite wine.

In 2003, Seashells was awarded Malaysia’s “Best Entertainment Outlet” by the prestigious Hospit ality Asia Magazine. The restaurant is also listed in Malaysian Tatler as one of “ Malaysia’s Best Restaurants.”

Oyster Bar and Lounge

The Oyster Bar and Lounge, situated in the resort lobby, overlooks the pool and has a peaceful and cosy ambience. This is the perfect retreat for relaxing, reading and to enjoy an exotic range of cool tropical drinks and cocktails.

Sampan Bar

Mutiara Burau Bay Beach Resort’s most recent outlet is the Sampan Bar on the sands of Pantai Kok. The bar was constructed from an old local fishing boat that was marooned on a nearby beach. Relocated to the resort it has been restored to serve as a peaceful retreat for those looking for a quiet place to relax with just the sounds of the forests and the surf.

It offers cool drinks and a place where guests can relax, talk and watch the ever-changing Langkawi coastline.

Sampan Bar provides a more relaxed and quieter atmosphere than Seashells as well as a fantastic range of drinks. Happy hours here operate from 12 noon. to 7.00 p.m. with the same 30% discount on pouring brands as Seashells. The bar opens from 12 noon until 8.00 p.m.
